Hip, Trendy and Comfortable Styles at Juley Jules (Review + Giveaway)

It's officially fall and although I'm a bit sad that summer's over, I'm excited to shop for new fall styles for both me and Princess P. In fact, I packed up all of P's summer clothes Saturday and realized that she only has a couple of fall outfits to wear. AnytimeCostumes.com - Your One-Stop Halloween Costume Shop *Review & Giveaway*

For the first couple of years, Princess P wore the Halloween costume that I picked out for her. Then, last year, I gave her a choice between three costumes and she chose to be a Florida Gator cheerleader (great choice!). However, this year, she knew what she wanted to be - a witch! So, the search was on for an adorable costume that she not only liked, but one that would allow her to get in and out of her carseat with ease and would keep her warm while out trick-or-treating.

AnytimeCostumes.com generously sent Princess P the Toddler Wee Wittle Witch costume for review. When the costume arrived, I was simply smitten with it and so was Princess P! The black dress features sheer sleeves with creepy-crawly spiders (which I can put a black or purple shirt underneath for extra warmth), a jagged hem and a cute purple spider (with its very own witch hat!) on the bottom. The thing that I like about the dress, besides how adorable it is, is that it features a tie back (thanks to the attached belt) that allows you to adjust the fit to your child. The striped black and purple tights fit Princess P perfectly and not only make this costume really stand out, but they also protect P's legs from the cold. And, the matching witch hat tops this cute costume off!
But, what is a witch without her broom? So, AnytimeCostumes.com also sent Princess P the Feather Witch Broom to complete her outfit! This black feather witch broom comes in two pieces that you snap together and features a black bow and silver strands to make it stand out. I was a bit worried that it would be too tall for her to carry around, but she has no problem with that and has been "taking flight" on it since its arrival. Baby Safety Month ~ Are You Swaddling Safely? (HALO Giveaway)

It's no secret that (most) babies love to be swaddled. But did you know that swaddling baby improperly can lead to Hip Dysplasia and dislocation? In order to swaddle safely, there are two aspects to keep in mind: avoiding suffocation and preventing Hip Dysplasia.

Hip Dysplasia, which is one of the most common conditions among newborn babies, affects about 1% of North American newborns (about 75,000 per year). Treatment for Hip Dysplasia and dislocation can range from wearing a harness or brace to undergoing surgery. These conditions can get worse with age and are linked to early-adult arthritis and hip-replacement surgery. By knowing how to swaddle safely, both you and your newborn will rest a little more easy.

When parents swaddle baby, us included, they have a tendency to stretch baby's "frog-like" legs out and that needs to be avoided. Their legs need to be able to straighten themselves out naturally and gradually. Parents should allow for room in the swaddle - or sleepsack - for baby to bend at the hips. The Bonnie Jean Fuzzy Gray Leopard Print Dress and Pants Set from My Baby Clothes Boutique is dressy enough for Sunday church but still casual enough to wear out and about. The gray leopard print dress is tunic-length with three-quarter length sleeves (that feature a wide ruffle cuff) and a wide ruffle hem around the bottom of the dress. The neck of the dress is gathered for extra cuteness and a trio of pretty pink flowers graces the left shoulder. The matching deep gray solid leggings complete the outfit and allow your little one to play all day in added comfort.
When the Bonnie Jean Fuzzy Gray Leopard Print Dress and Pants Set arrived, I knew it was going to look adorable on Princess P and fit great! The cotton fabric top and leggings feel super soft and even have a bit of stretch for added comfort during play time. The gray and pink leopard spotted top is absolutely adorable and the leggings are a perfect match. However, on the My Baby Clothes website, it says that the pants are Capri-length, but on Princess P they come all the way down to her ankles. (I requested a size 3T and she is in the normal-to-tall range for her age.) So, I don't know if it is a misprint or what? But, I'm not complaining because she will be able to wear this adorable set all fall and winter long!

Plus, the fun fabric outside (available in ruby dots or grey dots) keeps you trendy no matter where you might be.
I was lucky enough to to receive my very own reisenthel lunchbag S iso in grey dots for review and not only has it won me over, but Princess P is already trying to claim it for herself! This fun lunch bag features a handy outer pocket (with Velcro closure) on the front for added storage, a spacious, insulated inside and Velcro fastener on the top to keep the bag closed .
Upon first glance, the lunch bag does look a bit small, but I found it to have just enough space for items that I normally pack for lunch. A sandwich, bag of chips, fruit cup, granola bar and a bottle of water fit into the reisenthel lunchbag S iso just fine with even a tiny bit of room left over. Now, do keep in mind that the top of the water bottle stuck out just a bit, but it did not interfere with the Velcro closure. Plus, the front pocket allows extra room for you to pack silverware, napkins and wet wipes.

Step into Fall with Umi's Cool New Styles (Review + Giveaway)

After much pleading with Mother Nature, to let it stay summer just a few more months, I've had to give up the fight because fall is undeniably on its way. And, much to my disliking, the calender isn't the only thing letting me know that the seasons are getting ready to change. In our part of the country, the temperatures are dropping, the days are getting shorter and all the new fall fashions are on display everywhere you look. In our household, food storage containers are a major staple. Not only are they perfect for packing C's lunch and keeping our leftovers fresh, but they also come in handy when we take treats to our family and friends. And since I am already a huge fan of everything Rubbermaid, I was thrilled to learn about their latest and greatest food storage product - Rubbermaid Glass Containers with Easy Find Lids!
The new Rubbermaid Glass Containers with Easy Find Lids have all the organizational benefits of the Easy Find Lids system with the versatility of glass. Each of the glass bases are designed to stack neatly, which saves on space and prevents them from getting stuck together (like some of the plastic containers do). Plus, they are microwave, oven (up to 425°F), freezer and dishwasher safe.

We were recently sent the Rubbermaid Glass Containers with Easy Find Lids 8 Piece Set to review. The 8 Piece Set includes a 1.5 cup container, a 2.5 cup container, a 4 cup container and 5.5 cup container as well as matching Easy Find Lids for each glass container.
Upon first inspection, I could tell just how well these containers were made based on their density. Each crystal-clear glass container is made with tempered glass so that it is safe to use in the microwave and oven and still looks great sitting on the table. Never has heating up leftovers been so easy and good looking!
Another terrific thing about the Rubbermaid Glass Containers with Easy Find Lids, is the Easy Find Lids! The lids in this organizational system snap to bases and other lids to make finding the right lid a breeze. Plus, the lids and bases neatly nest inside each other so they take up less cabinet space. Also, each lid comes with a built-in gasket that creates a leak-proof seal to keep foods fresher, longer.

Not only do I love the Rubbermaid Glass Containers with Easy Find Lids because of their versatility, but I also love how well they have held up during repeated use. Unlike some plastic containers, these glass containers will never stain or melt when warming. This is a huge plus because C uses containers in the microwave daily! Plus, the added organization of the Easy Find Lids system is really wonderful for us because we have a limited amount of cabinet space. The new Rubbermaid Glass Containers with Easy Find Lids are definitely a welcome addition to our kitchen!

affresh Washer Cleaner ~ The Results

In July, I was introduced to affresh Washer Cleaner, an innovative new product that helps keep your washing machine fresh and clean, and was given the opportunity to try it out on my very own smelly washing machine. So, just how well did it work?
affresh Washer Cleaner is designed to go right after the odor-causing source in washing machines - dirt and detergent residue that builds up in hard to clean places like hoses and pumps. This odor-causing residue not only makes your clothes smell less than fresh, but it can also result in mold and mildew over time. By using affresh Washer Cleaner once a month, your machine will look great, smell even better and you will know that your clothes are really getting clean.

One of the terrific things about affresh Washer Cleaner, aside from the results, is how easy it is to use. Simply open an individually wrapped Power Puck tablet and place it directly into the washer. Then, turn your washer to the "Normal" cycle and you're done! If your machine is super smelly, you can run three consecutive cycles using one tablet in each cycle to get the job done. Never has cleaning been so easy!

So, what were my results after using affresh Washer Cleaner? Well, not only does my washing machine smell much better, (the Power Puck tablet has a nice, fresh scent) but I can rest assured that it is truly clean. No longer do I have to run a load of clothes through a cycle twice because of a lingering odor. I love affresh Washer Cleaner because I not only get results, but because it is so easy to use!
