Getting baby to relax and calm down before sleep isn't always an easy task. Many times baby wants to be held, talked to or just know that you are there. But, as busy parents, nap time is usually the time that we have to get all of our daily tasks and chores accomplished. Here is where the Mimicking Monkey from Cloud B comes into play. It helps baby calm the mind, ease anxiety and achieve a more peaceful sleep.
The Cloud B Mimicking Monkey plays fun and soothing sounds designed to entertain, educate and help children achieve a better sleep. Cloud B recently sent us a Mimicking Monkey to review and to truly appreciate it, you have to see it in person. The Monkey's fur is super soft and cuddly and its features are simply adorable. I love that it has three different sound options to choose from (Play - Monkey Fun: Relax - Angle Falls: Sleep - Lullaby) and the fact that your voice can be played back to baby over these sounds is truly great. Princess P has really taken up with the Mimicking Monkey and she loves to hear my voice emit from it. She also loves the Mimicking Monkey Storybook that was included with the monkey. The Cloud B Mimicking Monkey is a cleverly designed product that is simply adorable.

I really wanted to record a video that showcased the features of the Mimicking Monkey, but Princess P had other ideas. She would not leave the monkey alone and absolutely refused to let me do a video about it without her being in it. And while this is not the best video, it gives you an idea of how the Mimicking Monkey from Cloud B works.

Cool Kids Universe recently sent us the Rock-A-My-Baby Rocking Horse from Levels of Discovery to review. As soon as the rocking horse arrived, we unpacked the box and got to work putting it together. Assembly on the Rock-A-My Baby Rocking Horse was fairly simple and only took about twenty-minutes total. Then the real fun began - showing it to Princess P.
The Rock-A-My-Baby Rocking Horse from Levels of Discovery is unlike any of the rocking horses I have seen before. The painting detail on the horse is absolutely gorgeous and the features are simply adorable. Take the cradle on the back of for your little one's baby doll for example, how cute is that? It even has a soft, pink corduroy pad to ensure that "baby" stays comfy during the ride.
Not only does the rocking horse have a cradle for your baby's baby doll, but it also has a pull-string heart that plays "Rock A Bye Baby". Your little one can rock their baby to sleep while the lullaby plays softly in the background. Princess P loves to rock away as the song plays. It is so sweet to see!
The Levels of Discovery Rock-A-My-Baby Rocking Horse features pink, green and cream pastel colors that really make it soft and sweet. Plus, the addition of the heart cutouts on the backrest and cradle are simply precious. This rocking horse also has coordinating arm rests, handles and rockers that really set it apart from the rest.

Princess P simply adores the Rock-A-My-Baby Rocking horse and I do, too. My hope is that this horse can be kept as an heirloom to pass down to P's children and then to their children. It is so adorable, in fact, that we keep it in our living room for her to play with. It's definitely not one of those toys that we scramble to hide when we have company over!

Tadpoles Bedding Company sent us a Playmat Set in the pink/brown color combination to review. At first, judging by the size of the package, I wasn't expecting the Playmat to be that big. So, imagine my surprise when I unpacked and placed together the 16 frame pieces to create a 50" x 50" playmat! This Playmat Set covers 16 square feet! Now, of course, if you are working with a smaller space, you can remove some of the frame pieces to create a smaller area for baby to play.

The EVA foam surface makes a soft, comfortable place for baby to play and it is easy for parents to clean. Just wipe the playmat with a wet cloth and mild soap when it gets dirty and your done! Also, the Playmat Set from Tadpoles Bedding Company is non-toxic and odor-free!
Assembly on the playmat is super easy and you can make up your own patterns as you go thanks to the 16 fame pieces, 16 inner circle pieces and the 16 border pieces. Once the playmat is together, Princess P loves to arrange the circles over and over again. Fast Table Chair from Inglesina (Review + Giveaway)

Large high chairs are great for when you have large kitchens/dining rooms, but when you are dealing with small spaces, like in our home, they can get in the way and clutter up your already cramped room. So, another option for baby when it comes to meal time is a handy, space-saving table chair, like the Fast table chair from Inglesina.
The Fast table chair from Inglesina is perfect for use in the home, while traveling, or in a restaurant. It's space-saving design and ease-of-use make it a parents dream. The Fast is ultra-light (weighing in at 4.2 lbs), collapsible, comfortable and can hold children up to 37 lbs. With the Fast table chair from Inglesina, your child can be right at the table with all the adults.

Inglesina recently sent us a Fast table chair in the Mandarino (orange) color to review. Now, I'm not going to lie, I love the convenience of a table chair, but they do tend to make me a little nervous. The thought of Princess P sitting on the side of a table, dangling in the air, makes this mama a little uneasy. So, before I put P in the Fast, I definitely pulled and tugged on it to make sure it wasn't going anywhere - and it wasn't!
The Fast is super simple to place on the table thanks to its support arms and screw clamps. When positioning the chair, all you have to do is lean its support arms on the table edge, screw the clamps by rotating the counter-clockwise and then verify that the chair is properly anchored to the table by trying to pull it towards the outside and downwards. When I pulled on the chair, I put some weight on it and it wasn't budging. I even made C pull on the Fast and he was impressed at how well it was anchored to the table.
After the Fast is positioned correctly on the table, you can place your child into the chair and buckle them in using the restraint system. The restraint system consists of an adjustable safety harness, with leg divider, and a fabric covering for comfort. The seat on the table chair is padded and the backrest is lifted for additional comfort.
When folded, the Fast is the perfect size for traveling and use at restaurants. Or, when you are using it in your home, it can be removed from the table and neatly stored in a cabinet or closet. The Fast from Inglesina comes in a variety of colors to match everyone's style. I absolutely love the Mandarino Fast (orange/brown color) and it would be perfect for a boy or girl!
Also, for convenient traveling, the Fast Table Chair comes with a hidden carry bag!
Keep in mind that the Fast is not suitable for use on all tables. Tables should be 0.8 to 3.3 inches thick and must be solid and stable. Do not use the Fast table chair on a glass or loose table top, table leaf or single pedestal table. Some tables with lips might not be compatible with it as well. Also, the Fast is not suitable for children under 6 months or that cannot sit unaided.
We recently took the Fast to my father-in-laws restaurant and everyone kept commenting on how neat and stylish it was! It was super easy to install on their style of tables and Princess P really enjoyed sitting at the table with us. Also, she put the back pocket on the Fast to good use by storing her goodies in it so they weren't lost! The Fast from Inglesina is definitely handy (and space-saving!) to have around!
