Happy Halloween!

Since Halloween is on a Sunday this year, our town (and surrounding areas) decided that Saturday would be "trick-or-treat" day for the kiddies. So, yesterday, our little gator got dressed up and went around to family and friends houses and then downtown for the street fest.Photobucket
(A picture with Daddy before we left)

Needless to say, the afternoon started off early (around 3:00) and Princess P wasn't in the best of moods. Instead of wanting to take pictures, she insisted on playing with everything around her and she refused to look at the camera! Then, she all together refused to pose with her cousins and threw the biggest fit.

When it came time to trick-or-treat, all the time we had spent practicing saying "trick-or-treat" didn't work and the only sound that came out of P's mouth sounded like muttering! Ugh, there's always next year.
Photobucket
(Having a melt down!)

Despite the fact that Princess P didn't want to look at the camera, nor did she want to say "trick-or-treat" or "thank you", the evening went well because we got to catch the last of the Florida - Georgia game at my in-laws restaurant (which happened to be on the same street as the downtown street fest) and Florida won in overtime! Plus, she looked super cute and got tons of loot. And yes, I have already dug into it!

Happy Halloween Ya'll!!

AZO Products - Emergency Kit (Review + Giveaway)

AZO LogoSeveral times, I have awoke in agonizing pain due to a urinary tract infection that was left untreated. The same goes for yeast infections, too. Instead of wasting a trip to the doctor, I would try to eat copious amounts of yogurt and pray that the itching would go away on its own. However, more times than not, I ended up in the doctors office for relief.
AZO Test StripsMany women try avoid discussions about urinary tract infections, yeast infections and feminine itching because they feel that they are embarrassing topics to discuss. But really, they are common problems that many women face. In fact, up to 60% of women will experience the unbearable pain and discomfort of a UTI at least once in their lives. Also, it is estimated that 75% of women will have at least one yeast infection in their lifetime. And half of women will have more than one. (Facts taken from the Amerifit Brands Fact Sheet.) Those are figures I can definitely relate to.

Azo Products, the only over-the-counter brand with the most comprehensive line of products for urinary and vaginal care, want to make sure that women are prepared with products they need when dealing with urinary tract infections, yeast infections or feminine itch.
Photobucket
To help me become more prepared, I was sent an AZO Emergency Kit complete with a full line of AZO products packaged in a very stylish Vera Bradley cosmetic bag.

The products I received:
  • AZO Urinary Tract Infection Test Strips (3 Individually Wrapped Strips)
  • AZO Standard Maximum Strength - Fast relief of urinary pain, burning and urgency.
  • AZO Cranberry Tablets with Immune Boosting Probiotic and Vitamin C (50 tablets)
  • AZO Itch Relief Cream - Immediate, long-lasting relief from feminine itching and burning.
  • AZO Itch Relief Medicate Wipes (12 Individually wrapped, flushable wipes)
  • AZO Yeast - All natural tablets for yeast infection symptoms (60 tablets)
  • Vera Bradley Cosmetic Bag for organized keeping
With this full line of products stored on my shelf, I will no longer have to deal with the pain of a urinary tract infection or the discomfort of yeast infection and feminine itching because I don't want to visit the doctor. For relief, I will be turning to AZO products.

Buy It: The AZO Products featured in this article are available to purchase at local pharmacies, discount retailers and grocery stores in the pain relief or feminine care aisle. (The AZO Cranberry may also be found in the vitamin/supplement aisle.)

Mauviel M'cook Stainless Steel Round Frying Pan *Review & Giveaway*

Mauviel Logo
The morning after the first night in our new home, it seemed fitting that we kick the boxes out of the way and sit down to a somewhat normal breakfast. After searching through dilapidated box after box, I finally came across our frying pan and pulled it out only to notice something I hadn't noticed before, the teflon coating was peeling off in sheets. Had we been consuming pieces of it in our food for sometime now? While I didn't exactly know the answer to that question, I did know that it was time for a new and improved frying pan - like the Mauviel M'Cook Stainless Steel Round Frying Pan.
M'cook Frying PanSince 1830, Mauviel has manufactured the highest quality of copper cookware for professional and commercial markets. Mauviel offers cookware manufactured in copper, stainless steel and aluminum that is unsurpassed in quality and design - praised by professional chefs and household cooks.

When I learned that we were getting the chance to review an item from Mauviel's M'cook line, I wasted no time finding out what made this collection of cookware so special. And let me tell you, it is something special.
Cookware CollectionThe M'cook cookware collection features five layers of materials that provide perfect conductivity for each product, thanks to the fast and uniform heat distribution. Each handle is made from cast stainless steel or cast iron, and reinforce the pure and modern design of this range. With such high culinary technology, it's no wonder that the items from the M'cook collection are among favorites with professionals and households, alike.

Just listing to to the description of the M'cook frying pan is enough to get giddy about. It's 5 ply thickness, oversized handles and lifetime guarantee are enough to make the most uneasy chef want to cook. And don't even get me started on how it is oven safe up to 680 degrees (F) and how you can toss the pan into the dishwasher when you are finished with it.
Photobucket
When the Mauviel M'cook Stainless Steel Round Frying Pan arrived, it was an understatement to say that we were running low on groceries. But, being the inpatient person I am, I couldn't wait to use the frying pan so I grabbed the first three things I saw - bread, cheese and butter.
Photobucket
I turned the stove eye on and waited a second or two before I placed a small amount of butter into the pan. Immediately, when I done so, I could tell the quality of the pan. After placing my grilled cheese sandwich (classy, I know) into the center of the pan and waiting a couple of minutes, I flipped the sandwich over to reveal a perfectly browned side. When my high-class grilled cheese was finished, I cut it in half to reveal melted cheese layered between two perfectly browned bread slices. Absolute perfection!

Buy It: The Mauviel M'cook Stainless Steel Round Frying Pan ($90-$160) is available to purchase online or at a retailer near you.

Hefty CinchSak Bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology (Review & Giveaway)

Hefty LogoWhen you move, you tend to discover things that you didn't even realize you had. From the outdated shoes and dresses that were hiding in the back of my closet to the out-of-date cheese and yogurt that were mysteriously pushed to the back of the refrigerator, I have been finding a lot of surprises lately. So, with all that is being thrown-out (with the exception of the clothing items that are being donated), it's no wonder that we have a stinky mess on our hands - especially when you throw dirty diapers into the mix!
Hefty BagsRecently, when I was asked to review the new CinchSak Bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology from Hefty, I jumped at the chance. Not only because we were running low on trash bags (just kidding), but also because stinky trash seems almost unavoidable in our household.

When the bags arrived, they were immediately put to the ultimate test. Leftovers that not even C was touching got thrown into the bag with a mixture of a dirty diaper or two courtesy of Princess P (she, however, is doing better on the potty training during the day) and some lettuce that I accidentally forgot to use before it expired.

After a day or two, I am happy to report that the stench from the trash didn't knock you down when you walked through the door nor did you have to pretend to decipher where that smell was coming from when standing close to the trashcan. The Hefty CinchSak Bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology are definitely welcome in our house any time!

Buy It: The Hefty CinchSak Bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology are available to purchase at retailers nationwide. Cost may vary.

Greet Your Guests With A Little Team Spirit ~ Plow & Hearth Review + Giveaway

Plow and Hearth LogoIt's no secret that we are big Florida Gators fans around here. So what better way to welcome guests into our new home than by showing them where our loyalties lie with the Collegiate Coir Mat and Rubber Frame from Plow & Hearth.
Collegiate Coir MatThe Collegiate Coir Mat is made from natural, eco-friendly coconut-husk fibers that scrub away dirt and mud from your shoes, while still keeping the team spirit alive. The non-slip vinyl backing not only ensures that the mat stays in place, but also keeps water off of your floors. Available in fifteen different Colleges, the Plow & Hearth Collegiate Coir Mat is a perfect accessory for everyone's front door.
Photobucket
Plow & Hearth generously sent us the University of Florida Collegiate Coir Mat and the Rubber Frame to review. And I have to admit, this was one product C was more excited to receive than I was!

When the mat and rubber frame arrived, C wasted no time taking the tags off and proudly placing it on our doorstep for everyone to see. I love that it happens to be one of the first things you notice when walking up to our door. No one will mistake what fans live here, that's for sure!
Rubber FrameThe Coir Mat does a great job of getting everyone's shoes clean before they enter our home and it also happens to be a great conversation piece when they make it inside. The Rubber Frame looks great underneath it and can be used with other mats from Plow & Hearth should we decide to change up the look - although, I doubt that will happen. We love the Florida Collegiate Coir Mat!

Buy It: The Collegiate Coir Mat ($29.95) and the Rubber Frame ($19.95) are available to purchase on the Plow & Hearth website.

It's Official...

we have moved! -That's the good news.

The bad news, our house is a complete disaster and I cannot find anything!

Also, if that wasn't bad enough, the internet and telephone provider messed up our move date on their paperwork and our phone and internet are not scheduled to be turned on until tomorrow!

So yeah, that is why I have not been regularly posting reviews and giveaways - and for that I am truly sorry! (I am having to post this from a friends house.)

Hopefully, everything will be turned on tomorrow morning and I will be back to my regualry scheduled posting.

And now, I am off to clean our old townhouse before the walk-through, try to make at least a path thorugh our new home and help C put togther our new storage building (all without phone or internet!). Wish me luck!

Dali Wall Decals ~ An easy way to customize your home (Review & Giveaway)

Dali Decals LogoEven before I laid eyes on Princess P's new room, I had a vision of how I wanted to decorate it in my head. Pink paint, white accents and something personal on the walls. Ok, so maybe I didn't have all the details worked out, but I knew it was going to be something special.

I had read about vinyl wall decals in the past, but never really thought that they would be something I would want to decorate my own home with. I don't know why? They are fairly inexpensive, easy to install and provide you with a custom look.

When I learned to I was getting the chance to review a decal from Dali Wall Decals, I knew that picking the perfect one was going to be half the battle. I wanted something special for P's room, but I had no idea what.
Sweet Dreams DecalAfter browsing through several pages on the Dali Decals site, I came across the "Sweet Dreams, My Love..." Decal and it really stuck with me. However, I knew that the size (66" wide) was going to be way to big for P's new room.

After going back and fourth on whether to get the "Sweet Dreams..." Decal or not, I decided to send Dali Decals an email asking if it could be custom sized to fit P's room. I promptly received and email back saying "Yes" and I was asked the measurements and given a link to custom order the decal.

When the decal arrived, and the Princess Pink paint (I'm not lying, that is the actual name) had dried, it was time to put the custom decal on the wall. My friend, R, came over to help me put it up and to make sure everything was straight and even.
Photobucket
We peeled the white backing off the decal and I stepped back to make sure it was where I wanted it. Then, we placed the sticky side of the decal on the wall and smoothed it out to remove any air bubbles and allow the adhesive to stick better . Next, we slowly and gently peeled away the transfer paper, making sure that the decal did not come up with it. R and I did have some issues with the decal peeling up with the transfer paper, but we would just stop and smooth the decal out again when that happened.
Photobucket
(I know the decal is kind of hard to see in this picture, but it's the best I could get. Stay tuned for before and after pictures of the entire room.)

Once we were finished, I stepped back to take a look and was very pleased with the outcome. I decided to go with the Pistachio Matte color and I am so glad I did. It really stands out against the pink and gives her room a special feel.

Buy It: The "Sweet Dreams, My Love..." Decal can be purchased on the Dali Wall Decals site for $25

Inexpensively change the look of your home with Unique Mirrors Online (Giveaway)

Unique Mirrors LogoSoon after moving into my very first place, I learned that mirrors were a great way to change up the look in my home and even make it feel more spacious. However, after browsing around at my local retailers, I found the mirrors to be very plain and nothing special. I wish I would have known about Unique Mirrors Online, then.

Unique Mirrors Online offers a large selection of high quality mirrors at great prices. Each item is hand selected by the owner, Julia Ritzenthaler, to ensure that they meet the highest standards possible while still offering unique characteristics that cannot be found at traditional retailers.
Floor MirrorRecently, I found myself searching the Unique Mirrors website for that perfect wall mirror to hang in our new living room. And let me tell you, I not only found one mirror that would look great in our living room, I found about four! Also, don't even get me started on their selection of Cheval Mirrors - the Soho Cheval with Lodge Brown Cherry Finish would look terrific in our bedroom!

Unique Mirrors is definitley the place to turn if you are looking for special, decorative mirrors that you want to make a bold statement while still offering style and purpose. Just take the Charlese Mirror with Antique Brushed Silver for example, its extremely unique style makes people take a second look, even if they happen to on-purposely catch a glimpse of themselves the second time around.

Also, another terrific thing about Unique Mirrors, aside from their unique styles, is that they offer free shipping on all orders and an upgraded white glove delivery service on all large heavy mirrors for $25 upgrade (they are the only e-tailer to offer this)!

Shop Phobia ~ Where Men Can Learn to Shop Without Fear (Review + Giveaway)

Lee Jeans LogoI'm going to be honest - getting C to try on clothes in the store is almost impossible! Since we have been married, he has entered a dressing room only once and that was because he needed a break from me nagging him! Yeah, he's hopeless. (Well, that's at least what the quiz on the new Shop Phobia website said.)
Shop Phobia DefinitionLee Jeans and Mike Rowe (from "Dirty Jobs") have teamed up to launch Shop Phobia, a place where men can learn to shop without fear. At Shop Phobia, your man can take a quiz to determine how "Shop Phobic" he is. But ladies, here's the fun part, you can take the quiz on behalf of your man and see Mike Rowe announce the results at the end!

At the end of the quiz on the Shop Phobia website, you can listen to advice from Mike Rowe, let your man shop without fear or even take advantage of a great money saving offer from Lee Jeans! (I do have to warn you, though, the site is highly entertaining and you may or may not find yourself retaking the quiz over and over again just to laugh!)
Photobucket
(C likes taking pictures as much as he likes going into dressing rooms!)

To celebrate the launch of Shop Phobia, Lee Jeans sent C a pair of their Preimum Select Relaxed Straight Leg Jeans to review. Since C could really didn't care what color he got to review, I chose the Faded Light color for him. Since the jeans arrived, I have caught C wearing them several times. I think the color is great and the fit is also pretty great, too!

Buy It: You can purchase the Lee Premium Select Relaxed Straight Leg Jeans for $28.99

Get Customized with Just Jen (Review)

Just Jen LogoWe have all seen the pictures of a glowing Bethenney Frankel on her wedding day sporting a rhinestone-embellished "bride" sweatsuit, but did you know the company behind her dazzling pre-wedding ensemble offers a lot more than just wedding day couture? (Although, their bridal shirts are awesome!) It's true!
Bridal TeeI was introduced to JustJen.com several months ago, and I have come to love each and every custom rhinestone fashion on their website, right down to the birthday shirts that are sure to be a big hit at every birthday party. So, naturally, when I learned that Princess P was going to get the chance to review a custom creation from Just Jen, I was very excited.
Princess TeeAfter much deliberation, I settled on the personalized Princess T-Shirt from Just Jen for my special Princess. Customizing the shirt was easy! I got to choose the color and style of the shirt along with the name and color of the crystal rhinestones. I opted to go with the pink long-sleeve child tee (perfect for this cool fall weather) and the fuchsia/hot pink rhinestones for the name.
Photobucket
We decided to go with a size 2, even though the website states that it runs a bit small, and I found it to fit Princess P just perfect. (Of course, I do hang her clothes to dry to prevent shrinking.) I love that the "i" in Princess is dotted with a rhinestone crown, and the fact that it has her name on it makes it all the more special!

Just Jen's Custom T-Shirts are made exclusively with 14 facet Swarovski crystals - imported from Austria - to give each of the items a royal touch. And I have to say, (even though I am a bit biased) Princess P looks like a true Princess sporting her custom, rhinestone-embellished shirt from Just Jen!

Buy It: You can purchase the Princess T-Shirt on the Just Jen website for $27

Dakota's Personalized Gifts *Review & Giveaway*

Dakota's Personalized Gifts Logo
As you might know, I recently became an Independent Beauty Consultant for a top cosmetics company and I have really been pleased with the results so far. But being the newbie consultant that I am, I have a lot, and I mean a lot, of things to carry with me to meetings, parties and even on day to day errands.
Canvas Tote with InitialsAfter lugging four separate totes with me to one of my meetings, I immediately decided that I needed a large tote that had plenty of storage room for all the books and paperwork that I carry around on a daily basis. I wanted something that was not too flashy but would still stand out when I was looking for it in a room full of purses and handbags. And that's exactly what I found in the Personalized Canvas Tote Bag with Initials from Dakota's Personalized Gifts.

Dakota's Personalized Gifts is the place to turn if you are looking for that special gift for weddings, baby showers and birthdays. With a range of products for him and her, baby and the home, Dakota's Gifts allows you to give a wonderful gift with an added personal touch.

The Personalized Canvas Tote Bag with Initials is crafted to handle all you need for trips to the beach, a round of power-shopping, or even just to carry on a day to day basis like I do. The tote's natural canvas feel and sturdy pink straps allow me to pack it to the brim with paperwork, portfolios and makeup. I love that the front is accented with my initials, that is a helpful feature when you are looking for your tote in a sea of other totes! The Personalized Canvas Tote Bag with Initials from Dakota's Personalized Gifts has definitley helped me keep sane and organized throughout these last few days.

Also, be sure to check out Dakota's Personalized Gifts partner store, The Anniversary Rose. There you will find an array of personalized anniversary gifts, romantic Christmas gifts and treasured keepsakes.
