DownEast Basics Review & Giveaway

Often times, I joke that Princess P has more clothes than I do. The truth actually is that she has more wearable clothes than I do. After becoming a mom, and gaining a few extra pounds, half the clothes in my closet either do not fit right or I'm not comfortable going out in public with them on. So, I am always on the lookout for clothing that is stylish, comfortable, and most importantly, doesn't break the bank.

A few months ago, I discovered DownEast Basics and was impressed with their clothing selection and affordable prices. I browsed through several pages and found many items that I would love to have. In addition to their fabulous Tops, Skirts and Denim items, DownEast Basics also offers a variety of Special Occasion dresses and a Swim line.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to choose an item to review from the New Arrivals section on the DownEast Basics site. It was a very hard decision, but I finally narrowed it down to the Rock Star Straight Leg Jean. After seeing straight leg jeans in every fashion magazine and on some of the most stylish celebrities, I decided to give them a shot.

One thing I dislike the most about online shopping is the sizing. It seems like every company has their own set of sizing guidelines and at times, finding your size can become very confusing. However, I found the sizing chart, on the DownEast Basics website, to be very helpful and true to the size I wear. For the Rock Star Straight Leg Jean, I was able to choose the size and the inseam length.
When the Rock Star Straight Leg Jeans from DownEast Basics arrived, I could not wait to try them on. Before I even got one leg into them, I reminded myself that they are supposed to be tight, so don't freak out. While the cut and style are meant to be on the tighter side, I actually found the Rock Star Straight Leg Jeans to be comfortable thanks to the slight stretch in them. The back pocket detail on the jeans are super cute and the dark rinse has a unique wash throughout. These stylish jeans are now a staple in my summer wardrobe.
