Omaha Steaks {Review + Giveaway}

When the weather warms up one of my favorite things to do is dust off the old grill and throw a couple of steaks on it. To me, nothing says spring like a juicy steak or a hamburger fresh off the grill. But the quality and freshness of the meat found at my local supermarket isn't the best. That is why I was so excited to find out that we were getting the chance to review a sizzling selection of Grilling Favorites (click on the link to see a special discount offer for my readers!) from Omaha Steaks.
For years, I had heard about all the deliciousness that is Omaha Steaks (mainly from Live with Regis and Kelly) but never quite understood how the process worked. I got the ordering online part, but I didn't understand how they shipped highly perishable meats to your door. Luckily, I got to see first hand.
A couple of weeks ago I opened the door to find a insulated cooler from Omaha Steaks staring back at me. I quickly whisked the cooler inside to discover the goodies awaiting me. I opened the cooler to find the products nestled in a bed of dry ice completely frozen and in great shape!
The first box I pulled out of the insulated cooler was filled with 4 (4 0z) Omaha Steaks Ground Beef Burgers. These extra juicy burgers are individually wrapped for convenience and are perfect for the grill. The Omaha Steaks Burgers are great for large backyard barbecues or just a quite dinner with the family. I found that these burgers had a great flavor and work perfectly for a quick dinner item.

I have to admit that I am not a huge Pork Chop Fan. So when I pulled out the box of 4 (4 oz) Pork Loin Chops from Omaha Steaks I didn't know how I would prepare them to satisfy both me and C. I love the fact that the pork chops are individually packaged so I can cook as little or as many as I would like at a time. I used a recipe that I found online to bake the pork chops to perfection and they turned out great!

Princess P is really into hot dogs right now so I was ecstatic to find a box of 8 (3 oz) Gourmet Franks in the Omaha Steaks cooler. These plump beef and pork franks are a hit with our whole family. They are especially good cooked on the grill and served with chips and baked beans. Or, as Princess P prefers them, cut up into small bite-sized pieces with a serving of green beans on the side.
In our house, we eat chicken at least twice a week. It is a versatile item that is usually good any way it is prepared. So when the next item I pulled out of the cooler happened to be a box of 4 (4 oz) Boneless Chicken Breasts from Omaha Steaks visions of different recipes filled my head. I finally settled on a trusty salsa chicken recipe and decided to cook three of the four chicken breasts. I was pleasantly surprised to find the boneless chicken breasts completely free of any fat! When cooked they were very moist and had a terrific flavor. They were great baked but I could only imagine how good they would be if they were grilled.
The last box I pulled out of the insulated Cooler happened to be C's favorite. When I lifted out the box of 4 (5 oz) Top Sirloins from Omaha Steaks I saw his eyes light up. These individually wrapped steaks are carved from the center of the sirloin and are super tender. The top sirloins are naturally lean and have a bold flavor, especially when grilled.

Whether baking, broiling or grilling out, Omaha Steaks offers a wide variety of products that are conveniently shipped directly to your door. Great food without the hassle of visiting the local supermarket - two thumbs up!
