Clean Chemical-Free with Activeion (Review & Giveaway)

Activeion LogoWhen it comes to my family, I try to make the safest, most healthy decisions possible. I like to purchase all-natural foods and organic clothing, as well as any other organic items I can get my hands on. But up until now, I was still using harsh chemicals to clean with. In my mind, I didn't believe that all-natural products could clean and sanitize as well as products that contained added chemicals. What was I thinking?
Photobucket
A while back, I read about Activeion Cleaning Solutions but didn't pay much attention to their products. Why? Because I was skeptical that regular tap water could remove dirt and kill bacteria. Well, if I took the time to really read their website, I would have believed otherwise.

About Activeion:
To fully understand what drives the technology behind Activeion, you have to have a brief lesson in science. There are two key scientific concepts to their products, electrolysis and electroporation. Apparently, the science of electrolysis is over 100 years old, and the science of electroporation has been around for decades. Yeah, I had no clue either. Activeion is the first to combine the science of electrolysis and electroporation into a small, handheld appliance available to everyone. The result is a device that cleans-up dirt and kills harmful germs with tap water and needs no chemical-related health warning label.

How it works:
1. Charge - When the trigger is pressed, the water flows through a water cell that applies a slight electrical charge to the tap water.

2. Transform - The water passes through an ion exchange membrane, where the ionized water is separated into an oxygenated mixture of positively and negatively electrically charged nano-bubbles.

3. Clean - When applied directly to a surface, the ionized water helps lift the dirt from the surface like a magnet, enabling it to be wiped away.

4. Kill Germs - Before the water exits the nozzle, a slight electric field is applied, allowing the water to carry a low-level electric field to the surface where the germs may be living. When used as directed, this low-level electric field kills more than 99.9% of harmful germs.

My take on it:
Activeion was nice enough to send me the ionator HOM to review. When it arrived, I was concerned that it was going to be difficult to use, but that is not the case at all! I took a quick look over the instructions and got to work.
Photobucket
The ionator HOM arrived charged (I don't know if that is always the case.), so I was able to use it immediately. I unlocked the reservoir via the button on the handheld unit and filled it with water straight from our faucet. I, then, pointed it at our kitchen counter top and squeezed the trigger. The reservoir lit-up with a green light (that means it's working properly) and a spray of ionized water was released from the unit. Then, all I had to do was wipe dry with a clean cloth.

I used the ionator HOM to clean our entire kitchen countertop and was really impressed. It not only removed the dirt and food particles, but sanitized as well. I was having so much fun with the ionator HOM from Activeion, that I decided to do our downstairs bathroom next.
Photobucket
Photobucket
The hand-soap that we have in the bathroom leaves a residue in the sink that cannot be cleaned up with regular tap water (without scrubbing really hard, anyway). So, I was interested to see if the ionator HOM could get the job done. I sprayed the ionized water from the unit and wiped dry with a cloth. I was amazed at how clean the sink was after using it! It also made the faucet super shinny and streak free, something that never happens with chemical cleaners. Our downstairs bathroom also happens to have all interior walls, which means no windows and no ventilation. With the ionator HOM I don't have to worry about harsh chemical smells filling the room. That is just another reason to love it!

The ionator HOM has become my best friend and I keep it close by at all times. It is just super handy to use and so much more fun than spray cleaners. I use it to clean my kitchen and bathroom counters, appliances, mirrors, Princess P's high chair, spots on the floor and so much more. And while the price may be a shock at first, just remember that the ionator HOM is guaranteed to last for 5 years. Now, think about all the different types of cleaners would you have to purchase over that time span. Yeah, it's not so expensive after all. In fact, you would be saving money and cleaning greener!

Buy it: The ionator HOM is available to purchase on the Activeion website for $179.99

What I found impressive is that it kills the 2009 Pandemic H1N1 Influenza A virus and more than 99.9% of most harmful bacteria (E. coli, VRE, Salmonella, MRSA, Pseudomonas, Staph, Listeria and E. coli O157:H7) when used as directed.

Im a college student and I would like to try out the Activeion in my dorm room and god dose it need it. I just moved into a new dorm room that the people that just moved out of didnt clean anything. There was 2 full tall kitchen garbage bags of junk we pulled from the fridge. I went to the site and read how it works and im very curious on whether or not the bond the ionized water will actually clean all that well and the electrical charge will sanitize the surface. I like not having to use chemicals when ever possible and would like to try it out.
