Celebrate Spring with Baby Genius {Review & Giveaway}

When purchasing toys for Princess P I not only look at the fun factor but also the developmental qualities of the item. In many instances, though, the toy is lacking in the development area. That is why I love the new developmental toy line from Baby Genius. The products encourage children to communicate, learn and express themselves through role play and imagination.

Baby Genius is committed to providing music-based products that are entertaining, educational and beneficial to the well-being of babies and young children. All of the Baby Genius products feature music as the central core to the discovery and learning process. Baby Genius strives to provide healthy fun and creative entertainment for the whole family, emphasizing the joy of learning together.

After speaking with Baby Genius, I was overjoyed to learn that Princess P would have the chance to review three products from the developmental toy line. I browsed through the section looking for items that I knew Princess P would love. The first one I came upon was the Baby Genius Pet Care Center.

Pet Care Center - This fun set contains all the products your child needs to take care of their new puppy - Melody. They can feed her, listen to her heart, trim her nails, check her temperature and give her a shot if she gets sick. Melody even comes with her own pet carrier complete with her own theme song! Just open the pet carrier door to hear the playful song.

As soon as Princess P saw the Pet Care Center she could not wait to see what was inside. She pulled each item out piece by piece until the carrier was empty. After discovering the function of each item, she quickly got to work feeding Melody yummy dog food in her special red bowl. She then checked Melody's temperature and listened to her heat with the stethoscope. I really like that the Pet Care Center encourages P to use her imagination as she cares for Melody.


Smile & Click Musical Camera - This musical camera makes taking pretend pictures a snap. The camera features large buttons and a chunky grip that is easy for little hands to hold. Your child will feel like a real photographer with the light up flash and shutter sounds. The Baby Genius friends even get in on the action with fun phrases and music.

Princess P loves to hold our camera and "pretend" that she is taking pictures. So when I saw the Baby Genius Smile & Click Musical Camera I knew she would love it. One of the first features she noticed was the Baby Genius friends on the side of the camera. As she pushed each button phrases like "Get Ready!" and "Smile real big." were played. After she discovered the flash and real shutter sound she made us say "cheese" each time she pushed the button. The colorful camera makes her feel like a "big girl" as she snaps pictures of us and her other toys.

Musical Vacuum - Pretend cleaning just got a lot more fun with the Baby Genius Musical Vacuum! Kids can dance to Mozart as they vacuum all-around the room. But the fun doesn't stop with the music, this vacuum also features a real vacuum sound, light up notes and spinning action.

When I clean the house Princess P loves to help. So I knew she would have a blast with the Musical Vacuum. When it arrived P did not waist anytime learning what each of the buttons did. She was thrilled when she pushed the first music note and music started to play. After some help, she got to work cleaning the living room floor. Princess P loves to watch the lights dance across the bottom of the vacuum as she cleans around the room. I love the fact that she is learning to help in a fun way. And while I love the Mozart music, I did find that it plays for a while before turning itself off. But don't fear parents, just push the music note again to turn it off before it's finished!

Each of the products from Baby Genius contain both the fun factor and the developmental qualities that I look for in toys. I would recommend them to other parents looking for toys that spark the imagination and allow children to express themselves.
