Inflatable Fun

This past Sunday we made the weekly 20-minute trek to my Granny M's house for afternoon dinner. (Here in the south dinner is served at lunchtime and supper is served at dinnertime). After dinner was devoured, the dishes were washed and the family was caught up on the latest gossip, it was time to head over to my other Grandma's, Granny F, house as usual. Only, this Sunday was a bit different than normal (more on that in a different post).

Princess P had been in a whiny and aggravated mood all afternoon, mostly due to the fact that her afternoon nap did not go as planned. We returned to my Granny F's house to eat dinner, homemade chicken pot pie (no wonder I have gained so much weight!), but P was not having any of that. After escaping from her chair and dashing off into the living room, this is what we found...

A seemingly happy baby (caught orange red-handed)....

Princess P with Balloons
A baby that looked like she had napped all afternoon...

Princess P with Balloons
Ah, balloons. They are a mood changer!

Mommy, Mommy,
you caught me playing with the balloons.
I'm only pretending that one is earth
and the other is the moon.
