Bug & Pickle Review & Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed.*
With a name like Bug & Pickle a company is bound to stand out in your head. I know they do in mine. Not only for their name, but for their products as well.

Kim (aka Bug) and Nicole (aka Pickle) are sisters who founded the Canadian based company Bug & Pickle. They wanted to combine practicality in products with safe, wholesome ingredients for moms and babies. And the end result are products like Belly Cream, Diaper Gel and Teething Oil.

Princess P and I were lucky enough to get to try several products from Bug & Pickle. When Princess P was two or three months old I noticed she had patchy, flaky places on her head. I immediately realized that it was cradle cap. I would have love to have known about the Baby's Scalp Oil! It is made from 100% natural ingredients like essential oils of lemon and geranium in an apricot kernel oil base. Simply apply a few drops before bed and wash out the next morning. The Baby's Scalp Oil works wonders on P's dry winter scalp.

Since Princess P has started solid foods she has had a hard time digesting them. So I am all over the Tummy Trouble from Bug & Pickle. It has ingredients like fennel and dill seed to aid in digestion. It too is 100% natural and is safe for sensitive skin. You just massage a small amount in circular motions on baby's tummy to relieve discomfort. P really seems to enjoy having this rubbed on her tummy. It clams her down in minutes.

I love the Baby Lotion from Bug & Pickle. I in fact love it so much that I want to use it all for myself! It has a wonderful orange, lemony scent to it. And it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. It is infused with green tea, aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E extracts and it is 96% all natural. Yeah, I definitely want to keep this one all to myself!

One lucky winner will receive $50 worth of assorted products (your choice) from Bug & Pickle!

To Enter: You must visit Bug & Pickle tell us what you would get if you won.
Please leave an email address. I have to have a way to contact the winner.

Protect -A -Bub Review & Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed.*
With summer right around the corner sun protection is definitely on my mind. And living in the south makes it that much harder to escape the sun. Thank goodness Protect-A-Bub is here to ease my worries.

Protect-A-Bub actually got its start in Australia and made its way to the US. After an unsuccessful search for a sunshade to protect her little one, Karen Clark-Dickson designed her own. When dozens of requests from other parents came pouring in Karen established Protect-A-Bub. In 2003, while searching for a sunshade for her baby, Rachel Blakeman came across Karen's Australian website. That is when Rachel encouraged Karen to sell her sunshades in the US. The two joined forces and Protect-A-Bub is now worldwide. But sunshades aren't the only thing you can find at Protect-A-Bub! They also offer Swimwear, Rain Covers, Carrier Covers, Stroller Inserts, Blankets, Hats and even Lip Moisturizer.

I recently had the opportunity to test out the UPF 50+ Classic Sunshade in Navy. Its breathable fabric protects against 98% of the sun's UVA and UVB rays. The sunshade also has mesh sides for air circulation. I love how large it is! It extends well over our strollers canopy to provide extra protection. It tied easily to our stroller and stayed in place the whole time. Not even budging when the wind blew. The sunshade can even fold up with your stroller so you don't have to worry about taking it off. When you do decide to take it off, the sunshade folds up small and even comes with its own carrying case for storage. The Classic Sunshade fits all canopied strollers. And it is even pediatrician recommended! It also won the iParenting Media award. The sunshade comes in three colors to match your stroller: black, navy and soon-to-be chocolate brown. I know we will not be leaving the house from now on without our Protect-A-Bub sunshade.

Another great product Protect-A-Bub offers to protect your little one from harmful rays is the Car Seat Sunshade. It too protects against 98% of the sun's rays. It attaches easily to any car seat with no canopy required.

In order to get you and your little one ready for the summer months Protect-A-Bub is offering my readers a 10% off discount when you use the code protectyourbub at the checkout!

One lucky winner will receive a Stroller sunshade or a Car Seat sunshade in your choice of color (black, navy or coming soon chocolate).

To Enter: You must visit Protect-A-Bub and find another product you would love to have.
Please leave an email address. I have to have a way to contact the winner!

Clever Rabbit Clothing Review

Trying to keep a sense of humor while you are running on little to no sleep is hard to do. I remember those 2 and 4 and 6 am feedings all to well! But if you looked down (even if it is with one eye half open) and saw "Would you like Whine with that" or "Attention Junkie" I know you would have to crack a smile. And that is exactly what the people at Clever Rabbit Clothing had in mind when they created their witty products.

"At Clever Rabbit Clothing, we appreciate the joy, stress and cost that comes with being the parent of an infant. Based on that premise, we designed our humorous baby line with two people in mind; the ultra hip little ones and their intellectual, yet fashionable parents."

At Clever Rabbit Clothing you can find onesies, tees, thermals and bibs with a sense of humor. They even offer organic clothing too. All of their products are made from the highest quality fabrics and inks. And they are made right here in the USA in sweatshop free environments.

Princess P was the lucky recipient of the Socialite Tee from Clever Rabbit Clothing. This tee is too cute. There is just something about her in "pearls" that makes me crack a smile. This lap tee is easy to slip over her head and is super soft.

If you are looking for baby clothing with a sense of humor and style Clever Rabbit Clothing is the place to look!

Eve Organics Review & Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed.*
I have been on a quest to find makeup that is good for my skin. Well, recently I found the solution to my problem. Two words: Eve Organics.

Eve Organics is an online store that offers Mineral Makeup, Cleansers, Toners and Moisturizers, Body Care and Brushes and Accessories. All of their products are phthalate, paraben and fragrance free. Ensuring the best for your skin.

From the Eve Organics website:
"Eve Organics prides itself in supplying the finest organic skin care and cosmetic products. All of our products are free of chemicals, parabens, dyes, talc and other harmful ingredients. We choose to put the majority of our product cost into quality ingredients and, unlike most skin care and cosmetic companies, not into packaging. So, you may think our packaging isn't the flashiest, but what's inside is the best available.

The skin is the largest organ of the body and since the skin is porous, it will absorb what is applied to it and distribute it throughout our body (think of hormone patches or nicotine patches). Only the best ingredients nature can give us should be acceptable for its care. The chemicals used to cut and preserve conventional skin care and cosmetic products are constantly being absorbed into the skin, building toxicity in the major filtering organs -- such as our blood, liver, kidneys, lymph nodes.

Along with this toxin build up, oxidative stress plays a major factor in the aging process. Free radicals eat away at healthy tissue and cause premature aging of the skin, arteries, and other systems of the body. Scientists have found that an enzyme called Sodium Oxide Dismutase or S.O.D. kills free radicals and renews the body's ability to fight off destruction. Our products contain natural free radical busters -- like Rooibos tea (from South Africa), white and green tea, among others. These are a few of the reasons we feel so strongly about non-chemical, organic ingredients."

I was lucky enough to be able to try some products from Eve Organics. The Mineral Foundation, Mineral Concealer and the Super Oxi D Cleanser and Clear and Fresh Astringent. The Mineral Foundation went on smooth and the coverage was great. I could hardly tell that I was wearing foundation with it on.
I am not lying when I say that the Mineral Concealer is the best concealer I have ever used. It hid my blemishes so well! And it didn't have a caked on look. Although I do recommend using a concealer brush to put it on with. Because the q-tip I was using just wasn't getting the job done.
Okay I admit it, I have some acne problems! Its not like junior high acne, but I occasionally get a pimple or five. And that is thanks to my oily skin. So to help combat that I tried the Super Oxi D cleanser and the Clear and fresh astringent for oily skin. Both the cleanser and the astringent had a clean smell. The cleanser is in a creamy consistency that lathers well and rinses clean. And the astringent left my skin feeling clean and fresh. I highly recommend all of the products I tried.

One lucky winner will receive a Mineral Foundation in their color choice!!

To Enter
: You must visit Eve Organics and tell me another product you would like to try other than the Mineral Foundation.
Please leave an email address. I have to have a way to contact the winner.

Kushies Review

From the time Princess P was born we were dead set on using disposable diapers. I had heard too many horror stories from my mother to even consider using cloth. So for the last almost ten months we have used nothing but disposables. That all changed the other day when I was sent the Classic Infant Diaper from Kushies. The first thing I noticed was how soft the diaper was. It is made out of 8 layers of form fitting 100% cotton flannel. And the design on the outside of the diaper is perfect for boys or girls. The Velcro tabs make it easy to adjust to your baby's size. The Classic Diaper has a built in flap for extra absorbency. And it is machine washable and dryable. The size range on the Classic Infant Diaper is 10-22lbs. It fits Princess P great around the legs, but then again she has extra chunky legs. I did find the diaper a bit bulky, but I guess I am just use to disposables. I do have to say that Classic Infant Diaper is way cuter than disposables though!

I was also lucky enough to be able to try Kushies Waterproof Taffeta Bib With Sleeves on Princess P. Let me tell you, this is the king of all bibs. It provides excellent protection against food and drinks and it can even double as an art smock. The handy catch all pocket is great for catching food that escapes your little one's mouth. And we all know that is inevitable in the beginning stages of self-feeding. I have to say that my favorite part is the long-sleeves. P is always getting food on the sleeves of her shirt while trying to grab the spoon or wiping her arms across the highchair tray. Another great thing about this bib is that it is waterproof and it wipes clean. You can find the Waterproof Taffeta Bib With Sleeves in a wide variety of patterns and colors.

Kushies offers a lot more than diapers and bibs. You can find Apparel including Swimwear, Nursing Items, Bedding, Toys, Bath Items and much more. My readers can even take 10% off their purchase at Kushies by using the coupon code pom10.

BabyBam Review

I love to find organic, natural items for Princess P. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I don't have to worry about harsh dyes and chemicals on her skin. That is why I am in love with every product from BabyBam!

BabyBam was created by a mom frustrated by not being able to find "cute" and "pure" clothing for her children. "So one day during naptime, I began researching on the Internet for eco-friendly fabrics. I came across bamboo and fell in love." (Taken from the BabyBam website.)

Bamboo has many great qualities. It is hypo-allergenic and anti-microbial, perfect for babies sensitive skin. Bamboo is also thermal regulating. Which means it keeps babies skin cool in hotter weather and warmer in cooler weather. Bamboo also wicks away moisture and is very absorbent.

Princess P was the lucky recipient of the "The World Awaits" onesie. As soon as I picked the onesie up I made C feel it. It has to be one of the softest onesies I have ever felt! (It is made out of 70% Bamboo and 30% Organic Cotton.) The fabric is really durable. The onesie made it through the washing machine without peeling or loosing its shape. It is tagless and easy to get over P's head.

"The World Awaits" onesie isn't the only Bamboo item BabyBam carries. You can also find the most adorable pajamas and pants, hooded towels, soap and balm. BabyBam also has wonderful gift sets packaged and ready to go for gift giving.

What's going on?

Is it something I am doing wrong? Not enough personal posts? Are you not happy with the reviews I write? Is it because the weather is starting to warm up and everyone is outside? Why have I lost all my beloved blog readers? My average daily numbers have dropped everyday this week. And are continuing to drop! Is anyone else experiencing this on their blog? Please tell me I am not alone! Or, if it is just my blog. Let me know what to change and I will do it! More personal posts, you got it! Reviews you would like to see, let me know! Help me people. I need some feedback! Here's to hoping it is just Spring!

I am also looking for sponsor's for my upcoming birthday bash. Email me and let's chat! (Sorry I had to throw in a pitch!)

Baggu Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed.*
With everyone switching to reusable bags the decisions on which ones to choose become harder and harder. Of course you want a sturdy bag. One that can hold the same amount or more than a traditional plastic bag. Yet one that has some personality and flair to it. Well, if that is the case, that completely describes Baggu.

Baggu is stylish, practical and oh-so convenient. The Baggu comes in a handy case that can fit into your pocket. And has over 40 different color choices to satisfy your trendy side. The Baggu can hold up 2-3 times more than a plastic grocery bag. And the convenient handles makes it easy to carry by the handles or over your shoulder.

Baggu was the brain-child of a mother daughter team, Joan and Emily. They wanted to create a reusable bag that was functional for city and suburban living. After dozens of prototypes Baggu was born. Do you know that using one Baggu for one year replaces 300 to 700 disposable bags?

How would you like to try one (or two) of these wonderful Baggu bags out and help the environment?

Child to Cherish Review

I was recently introduced to an adorable online store, Child to Cherish. In it I found wonderful gift items such as: Handprint Kits, Banks, Plush Animals and so much more!

Patrice Lowe founded Child to Cherish in 1986. One of her initial creations, the Handprint kit in a tin, remains one of the most popular items. In 2000 Patrice was joined by her husband and three sons. Together they continue to create products that “preserve the innocence” of a child for a lifetime.

I was recently sent the Handprints Tower Of Time for Princess P. This could not have arrived at a better time as P will soon be celebrating her first birthday. The kit includes a tin for ages 1-5. And is labeled "My (handprint) when I was...". The multi color is great for boys and girls. But if you prefer, you can get the tins in pink or blue. I can imagine myself looking back at each tin, almost in tears, at how fast my little Princess has grown up. This would be a terrific baby shower gift as it comes complete with ribbon and a tag.

I also received the Buttermilk Farm Crayon Apron in Pink. This apron is literally too cute for words! It comes ready for gift giving on a decorative hanger with clothespins. The apron also comes complete with a 24-pack of Crayola crayons. I cannot wait for Princess P to express her creativity with this crayon apron!

With Easter just around the corner I am sure you will find a special keepsake for your little one. I know P would love to have the Going to Grandma's Suitcase with Blanket or the 11" Daisy Bunny.

Great News! My readers can receive 10% off their purchase from Child to Cherish by using the coupon code
pom10 at the checkout. You can find a gift for any occasion at Child to Cherish!

LTDchix Review & Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed.*

As soon as I saw the "Living The Dream" shirts I fell in love! On the front a picture of a mom just doing her daily tasks and underneath the quote "Living The Dream". This spoke volumes to me because it is my everyday life. Some of the illustrations include a mom balancing a frying pan and the phone, vacuuming through a sea of toys and pushing a shopping cart that she can barely see over while managing three kids. I am sure that at least one of the depictions have to relate to your life.

The LTDchix creators, Nina Frye and Cindi Schmitzer, started the company when they realized that motherhood wasn't what they had pictured years before.
"Back in the days when being a Mom was still just a dream for many of us, little did we know about the true realities of motherhood. We didn’t know that along with the beauty and rewards of watching our children grow, we’d also have to contend with the daily mind-numbing tasks that go along with it! But we’ve got to keep on smiling and persevere! "

I recently was lucky enough to try out the "Laundry Mom" shirt. I was delighted to see that they shirt came in my favorite color, pink! Well, Lipstick/Light Pink to be exact. The shirt is super soft and has a little stretch to it. And one of my favorite features is the layered effect it has. They illustration is perfect size and not to overwhelming. The shirt feels great on. It wasn't quite long enough for me though. For most people it probably is. I just have to have my shirts really long. Other than that, I absolutely love it! When I see other moms looking at it in the grocery store and crack a smile. I know they are headed home to get on the internet and find out where they can buy one. And if you ever watch Jon and Kate plus 8, you can catch Kate in one of the LTDchix creations. I have seen her wear the shirts in several different episodes!

One lucky mom will win a Laundry Mom Shirt in their choice of color!

To Enter

Please leave an email address. I have to have a way to contact the winner.

KozyPal Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed.*
"Grocery store shopping cart handles have more germs than public restrooms, making them one of the worst public places for germs, according to researchers. " (Quote taken from abc news.)

That really makes you want to strap you child into the top of the shopping cart doesn't it?. Because of this, shopping cart covers have grown in popularity. I know that whenever I am in the store I see several. But they all seem to be the same boring pattern. So when I found KozyPal Shopping Cart Covers I couldn't wait to share the news.

KozyPal offers a huge selection of shopping cart covers. In fabrics ranging from Creamsicle Paisley to Arghhh! Pirates. Every KozyPal shopping cart cover comes with 2 toy loops, a mommy bag, matching nylon safety belt and a self contained storage system. Kuster Review

Bath time is one of the activities I look forward to most in mine and Princess P's day. I love to watch her splash and play. But when its over I am left with a wet floor and a bathtub full of toys. While there is not much I can do about the wet floor, Kuster has come up with a solution for the toys.

Meet the Bath Toy Store. It is a handy two-container contraption that allows you to scoop up the toys and drain the water in one and then place it inside the other for drip free storage. The Bath Toy Store comes in a variety of colors to match your bathroom or taste. The Cream & Mint Bath Toy Store fits Princess P's ocean themed bathroom perfectly. P loves to help put the toys in the bucket when we are done playing. And she loves to watch the water come out of the holes in the bottom. I love that we can store her bath toys without a mess! The Bath Toy Store also makes it easy to just slip all of her toys under the sink when we have house showings.

But bath storage isn't the only thing Kuster has perfected. They also offer stylish highchairs like the K2. It comes equipped with a 5-point safety harness, removable tray, handy storage basket and self leveling feet.

Kuster also offers matching cribs and wardrobes that will look great in every nursery.

You can find the Bath Toy Store by Kuster at www.Goores.com for $24.99! And my readers can take 10% off any Kuster item at Goores by using the code pomku at the checkout.
