SoleMates High Heeler Review & Giveaway

Most days you will catch me in a pair of sweatpants, a tee shirt and slippers with no makeup on and my hair in a ponytail. That is a far cry from the days where dress pants and heels were a requirement. While I love the "look" I have going on now, I sometimes miss getting all done-up to go to work. That is why whenever I get a chance to go out, I do it right. Besides, there is no need for all of those clothes (and fabulous shoes) in the back of the closet to go to waste.

My love affair with heels started many years ago when I would prance around the living room floor wearing my moms best stilettos. Then, after I landed my first "real" job where dress shoes were a requirement, my motto was the higher the better. While they have so many benefits, they make your legs look fab and do wonders for your back side, they have their downfalls as well. Like trying to trek to you car through grass or getting stuck in the sidewalk crack. Nothing can make a woman cry harder than damaging her favorite pair of high heels.
I was recently introduced to SoleMates and instantly had one of those "why didn't I think of that moments". When I first saw an actual pair of SoleMates I believed the concept was simple, increase the surface area and you won't get stuck. But there is actually a little more to it than that. By increasing the surface area of the heel you actually reduce the pressure placed on the area and therefore prevent the heel from sinking into the grass or falling into a crack.

The design of the SoleMates High Heeler is engineered to fit snugly on most heels without damaging the heel or compromising the aesthetics of the shoe. By simply slipping the SoleMates onto the high heel of the shoe and pressing the heel down to secure in place, you can immediately experience the support. The SoleMates High Heeler works on many other surfaces than grass and sidewalks. The are perfect for walking on cobblestones and bricks, woven carpets, antique floors, and even grates. They also protect your heels when you are driving in a car!
I received a pair of black SoleMates (they also come in clear) to try out on my high heels. As soon as they arrived I slipped them on one of my favorite pair heels and got ready to strut my stuff. (I do want to note that they fit very snugly on this certain pair of shoes. But I can see how they will not fit every heel out there.) I immediately felt more secure with every step I took and I virtually walked without making a sound. While SoleMates are not completely invisible, they are discreet enough to wear with shorter length outfits and not look silly. The best part is that they are reusable and when not in use they can be stored in the handy plastic pouch they come in.

If you are an upcoming bride I highly recommend SoleMates High Heeler not just for yourself but for your entire bridal party as well. Because more than likely you will be taking at least a few photos outside and no one wants to worry about sinking into the grass during this monumental occasion. SoleMates would also be a cute item to throw into the bridal party gifts.
