New Balance and PEANUTS Co-branded Footwear *Review & Giveaway*

Each year when the holidays roll around I look forward to many things. One of the things I look forward to most is watching the Thanksgiving and Christmas television specials, especially "Good Ol' Charlie Brown". This holiday season I am doubly excited because one of my favorite shoe brands, New Balance, has teamed up with PEANUTS to bring an adorable line of co-branded footwear for Infants, Pre-School, and Grade School sizes.
New Balance combined the most beloved PEANUTS characters with their heritage running style, the 574. The result is a quality shoe with hint of fun. Each shoe is constructed with premium materials for comfort and breatheability. The outsole is made of solid rubber for support and durability and midsole and heal features EVA cushioning. Each of the shoes contain fun PEANUTS detailing like a soft tongue lining, vibrant colors and eye-catching embroidery. But the details aren't just left to the shoes. The New Balance and PEANUTS co-branded shoes are packaged in a custom box and comic strip tissue paper to bring you a truly special gift.


Released October of this year, the first collection is just one of the three special collections from New Balance and PEANUTS that will launch from 2009-2010. The first collection brings some of PEANUTS most popular stories to life; It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. This is such a special way to commemorate PEANUTS as it approaches it's 60th anniversary in 2010!

New Balance sent us the PEANUTS 574 shoe in style KJ574SOI to review. The brown and pink lace-up shoe features Snoopy and Woodstock playing in the fall leaves with a different scene on both sides. The tongue has a super soft lining that resembles Woodstock himself and the inside sole features a classic PEANUTS comic strip. While the shoe has wonderful PEANUTS details it still resembles the very stylish New Balance heritage running shoe. The KJ574SOI style fits Princess P perfectly and matches almost everything in her closet, it is the ultimate fall shoe! Now we just need to add the KJ574CHI to match all of her winter clothes.
