Lamaze Play House Gym Review & Giveaway

Princess P had a standard activity mat when she was smaller. She use to love looking up at all the shapes and colors. Then she learned how to roll over and she did not want anything to do with the activity mat again. We packed it up and it made its way to the back of the closet with the rest of her baby items. I only wish we had known about the Lamaze Play House Gym from Learning Curve when we purchased her other activity mat.
The Lamaze Play House Gym has three different stages that grows with your child. The first stage is focused on tummy time and "lay & play" with an age range of newborn+. In this stage your newborn can gaze at the colorful shapes and characters that hang above. On the arch there is a removable baby activated sun features lights and music perfect for visual tracking. In this stage there is also a tummy time mirror for self-discovery.
Stage 2, or the sit and play stage, is for babies 6 months and older. Here you will find a cushioned double sided mat for twice the fun. Baby will love to explore the different scenes and the different textures on the mat. You can even remove the toys from the arch in Stage 1 and incorporate them into playtime.
Babies and toddlers 9 months and older will enjoy Stage 3. In this stage Lamaze has combined learning with fun by featuring matching games and imaginative role play with the girl and boy dolls. Babies will love the fun sounds that the colorful shapes make and toddlers will have fun playing peek-a-boo with the happy family.


When the Lamaze Play House Gym from Learning Curve arrived I was a little worried about how large it was going to be and how much space it was going to take up. That was not the case at all. While there is plenty of play space, the Play House Gym folds up nicely for easy storage and portability. I was impressed at the amount of cushion in the mat and at how soft the fabric is. Another one of my favorite features is the "soft Velcro". It is not scratchy like regular Velcro which makes it perfect for baby's sensitive skin. Princess P loves to play with the girl and boy dolls and she also likes to try to match the shapes to the mat. I love that the Lamaze Play House Gym grows with your child and transforms with each stage of baby's development.
