Hearthsong Review & Giveaway

Princess P has become quite the animal enthusiast. So when it came time to make her holiday shopping list this year I knew some kind of critter had to be on it. As I browsed through the toy catalogs and online ads nothing really caught my eye or screamed "She would love that!". Then, as if on que, Hearthsong offered up one of their Sit-On Animals for us review!


Each Hearthsong Sit-On Animal can take your little one on an adventurous ride. If your child loves horses then the Pinto Horse with the detailed western saddle or the Bay Horse with an English saddle and pink currycomb is perfect for them. Maybe your little one is ready to go on an imaginary safari? If so, the Sit-On Elephant is just what they need to get them there. Or perhaps they would prefer a fuzzy, friendly Sit-On Donkey to get them to their imagined place. Which ever one they choose I am sure it will become a staple in their imaginary adventures for years to come.


Since every little princess needs a pony we chose the Bay Horse with the English saddle to review. When it arrived I could not wait to get it out of the box and see the expression on Princess P's face. As soon as she saw the Bay Horse she went running toward it to give it a hug, and it fell over on her. After some readjusting of its front legs, they were bent slightly backwards, and some coaching, P reproached the horse to give it some love. This time the greeting went more smoothly and she fell in love.


While she is still a little young to sit atop the Bay Horse by herself, she enjoys sitting on it with our help. When she is not brushing the horses hair (which like most things with long hair, gets tangled very easily), most of her time is spent petting and talking to it. I love it because when she gets older she can never say that we didn't get her a pony when she was younger.
