4moms Cleanwater Infant Tub Review & Giveaway

When C and I brought Princess P home from the hospital we had no idea what we were doing. Luckily, we had family and friends there to help with whatever we needed. I remember the first time we gave her a bath, it was a very nerve racking and intense experience. With my mom standing by for support, we attempted to bathe her in the sink. What we ended up with was a super mad baby girl and a soaking wet counter and floor. If I had only knew about the 4moms Cleanwater Infant Tub at time I am sure the experience would have went more smoothly.

Its funny to believe that 4moms was actually started by 2 guys. In 2005, Rob Daley and Henry Thorne decided to tackle the juvenile market. When an original focus group brought 4 moms together (with 13 kids between them) they not only decided to name the brand after them but to make them the face of the company. Today, the 2 guys and 4 moms are actually a part of a team of 15 researchers, developers, and engineers that are dedicated to making life easier for parents through innovate products we use everyday.
When we did not receive the infant tub we registered for, we purchased a mesh bath seat and figured that it would work perfectly fine. One of the problems with that was that it would not fit in the sink. So every time we gave Princess P a bath we had to run a tub full of water for a tiny little girl. We also did not like the fact that she was sitting in dirty, soapy water. It was kind of like defeating the purpose of giving her a bath. When I heard about the Cleanwater Infant Tub from 4moms I immediately fell in love with the idea and lucky for me 4moms offered me a tub to review!

When it arrived I was anxious to see how this "cleanwater" tub kept clean water in and dirty water out. The concept is simple really. A continuous flow of clean water circulates around the tub and forces the dirty water out through a hole in the side of the tub. So it sounds good, but does it work? Yes, and I am in love!


The Cleanwater Infant Tub fits perfectly in our double basin sink (and in case it did not, it comes with a spacer for use with a low dividing wall). Our faucet perfectly aligned with the Water Collection Area and as soon as we turned on the Digital LCD Display it gave us an immediate reading of the water temperature. Below 90 degrees the screen turns blue which indicates that the water it too cold. A green screen means that the water temperate is safe and comfortable (90-100 degrees). When the water gets too hot (above 90 degrees) the screen will turn red and an alarm will sound. Pretty cool, huh? Sure as heck beats the wrist and rubber ducky test! The Cleanwater Infant Tub is spacious on the inside, holding up to 25lbs. It allows you to stay organized with a place to put baby wash, bath toys or a wash cloth. It also comes with a rinse cup to make things a little easier.

I really love the 4moms Cleanwater Infant Tub and I only wish I had it when Princess P was tiny. The fact that the dirty water flows out and warm, clean water is in continuous flow is an ingenious idea. The alarm is also a brilliant touch. I did not have any problems with the tub or plugs leaking and when it came time to drain, it was an easy and fast process. The Cleanwater Infant Tub would make a wonderful baby shower gift or a perfect present to the expectant mom on your Christmas list.
