Fall into Fashion - For Baby: Pediped Review & Giveaway

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Pediped shoes. There is a cute little boutique down the street that sells them and every time I go by there I have to go in and admire each pair. Oh, what I would not give for Princess P to have a closet full of Pediped's.

After a search for the perfect soft-soled shoes for their daughter turned up no results, Angela and Brain Edgeworth founded Pediped in February of 2005. It has become one of the fastest growing children's footwear brands in the US and is sold in over 35 countries around the world. Pediped offers two different collections of footwear: The Originals Collection and The Flex Collection. The Originals line is designed mostly for pre-walkers to closely mimic walking barefoot and the Flex Collection is a high quality shoe with a flexible rubber sole. Pediped also just launched their Fall/Winter Collection and they introduced their newest arrival, The Couture Collection.

Princess P was sent the Mckenna style shoes in a size 18-24 months from Pediped's Original Collection. These suede and leather Mary Jane's are the cutest thing ever! The chocolate brown color is perfect for fall and matches almost everything in P's closet. And the embroidered flowers on the toes and Velcro closures add a special touch. Even though P is walking really good I still like the fact that she is walking on a cushioned leather sole to ensure that her feet develop properly. She can even wear them outdoors without a problem thanks to the double layer of leather and a foam pad. I did notice, though, that when she is on slicker floors she has a tendency to slide a little bit in the Pediped's. Other than that I absolutely love these shoes and she gets so may compliments when she wears her Mckenna Pediped's. I look forward to moving up to the Flex Collection!

More than 50 well-known entertainers (like Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum and Kenny Chesney) and athletes (like Anna Kournikova and Shaquille O’Neal) will participate in Stars for a Wish, an online auction of autographed pediped baby shoes to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The auction will run Oct. 25-Nov. 1 on Charity Buzz. Bidding will start at $250 for the signed shoes. Recipients will receive the shoes attractively displayed in a cherry-finished shadow box or clear acrylic box complete with an engraved plaque. The Stars for a Wish fundraiser has a minimum goal of $25,000, which will help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. One-hundred percent of the funds raised through the auction will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
