Kenneth Brown Baby Crib Bedding Review & Giveaway

I was pregnant when we bought our first house. As soon as I saw the nursery I fell in love and that is one of the reasons we bought that home. It was used for a boy but had a jungle theme to it that we could easily convert to a girl's nursery. So when it came to the bedding I knew it had to be jungle themed and that limited my options. When we moved, P's nursery was a blank canvas and we could decorate it in anything we wanted. And as soon as I saw the new Crib Bedding Line from Kenneth Brown I was instantly drawn to the Lady Bug Paisley Collection.

Kenneth Brown is one of L.A.'s most sought-after designers. Staring in TLC's Over Designed and HGTV's reDesign, Kenneth is quite the interior design expert. So when his daughter was born it influenced him to create a bedding line that was warm and sophisticated. The three lines, Monkey Vine, Lady Bug Paisley and Handsome Puppy are carried at Babies "R" Us and now at Amazon.com. Each bedding set includes a cotton bumper, sheet, duvet with filler, and dust ruffle. Window valances, mobiles, lamps, wall art and decals, diaper stacker, baby blanket and changing pad covers are also offered in matching colors and designs.

We had the opportunity to review the Lady Bug Paisley for Princess P's newly redesigned nursery. One thing that worked out well was that the main color scheme in the bedding, pink and green, was also the main color schemes in P's previous nursery. That meant certain art work, rugs and accessories that we already had worked perfectly. I immediately noticed that the duvet was full and soft and it looks adorable draped over the side of P's crib. The cotton crib sheet fits snug and smooth over the mattress and it has a warm color to it. The bumper is plush, which I would not recommend for babies that move around a lot in their sleep, but it is so cute with a bold lady bug on one side and a lady bug paisley print on the other. But I have to say that my favorite print design is on the dust ruffle! With it's pink paisley print on top accented with a pink stripe in the middle and green polka dots on the bottom, it is just darling! Each set also comes with a workbook that includes a checklist, paint color suggestions and instructions on how to personalize the baby's room to reflect the rest of the home's decor.
