But then again...

I just need to vent, so if you aren't in the mood for wining look away!

I hate living in an apartment. It is so dull, so plain and so depressing. Ever since we have moved in I haven't wanted to decorate, cook or clean. I feel like it is not my house and it is just temporary. I miss my house with my paint colors and most importantly, it being mine. It is just so depressing.

But then again

At least I have a roof over my head, food in my cabinets and a bed to sleep on. We may not have much money but at least we can (mostly) pay all of our bills on time.

I hate that I have to go back to work. I hate that my child will be in someone else's care for 8 hours a day. That is not fair, I want to be home with her! I want to make sure she eats what she is supposed to and make sure she gets the attention she deserves.

But then again

At least I have a job. And at least I got to be with her for an entire year.

I hate that the special shopping trip we took for me, the one that we drove over an hour for today, was ruined. By a little one who is (finally) cutting teeth and a husband who *had* to get back to go fishing. They both ended up with something and I left empty handed. (I needed clothes for a very important *meeting* Wednesday, clothes that needed to make an impression.)

But then again

At least we were able to take a trip to go shopping. And at least they got something.

Ugh, I have to get out of this funk I am in. It's not good for anyone.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling in a funk, I love reading your blog btw :)

I know how you feel though. From everything to the apartment living to having to go back to work with a little one.

Have you ever read the Dr.Suess book "Oh the Places You'll Go!" ? One of my favorite books of all times. Reading it to my son when either one of us is feeling in a funk always makes us feel better.

Hang in there :)

aww, don't worry, it'll get better. I've been there too, thought I'd never get my own place. I lived in a tiny tiny attic apartment. I knew it was time to go when my landlady freaked about all my art supplies (old papers)saying they were a fire hazard. Kinda funny now, and must have been the push I needed. Hang some new pics on the wall, that always lifts my spirits. :)

Aww I'm sorry to hear that you are in a punk. I know just how that can feel sometimes, and i wish there was an easy answer to give you on how to get out of it. Unfortunately, there isn't. Hang in there and just think that things will be better eventually.

It will get better -- we are here to listen, feel free to vent any time you feel like it!! We have all been in that place one time or another.

Keep your chin up, love your family, and get plenty of rest.

Hey - vent away - we all have days where it's harder to count our blessings than our "Negatives"! Just remember: Children learn MORE their 1st 365 days than they do in the rest of their life (or so the experts say!), and you were there for each exciting minute of the child's 1st year of life... right?!?!? And as for the shopping... that's ONE of the reasons they invented the internet :) have fun! (You just keep on venting, too - remember what happens to a pressure cooker w/out the pressure valve!)
