Shi Shu Baby Review & Giveaway

At our baby shower we received at least 10 different types of baby blankets. I thought we would be set until Princess P was grown. But shortly after getting the blankets home I was proven wrong. Some unraveled in the washing machine, some lost their shape completely and the others peeled so bad it looked like we had used them for years. At that rate I thought we would never find a good quality baby blanket. But then I found Shi Shu Style!

After her son's favorite microfiber/polyester blanket caused him to break out in a rash, Tamre Sutphen decided to design her own line of natural fiber blankets. After searching alternative fabrics Tamre found bamboo and fell in love with its many qualities. When the Shi Shu Baby blanket design was finalized Tamre decided that she wanted a larger version for herself. That is when the Shi Shu Home blanket (50" x 60") was created.

Princess P and I were lucky enough to be able to review the Shi Shu Baby blanket (30" x 40") in Lavender. When I first picked it up I instantly noticed how soft it was. The handwoven blanket is made from 60% cotton and 40% bamboo. It also has a 100% bamboo sateen trim. After finding this out I was a little worried that it was going to require special laundering. (Because we all know how messy babies tend to be. ) But my fears were put to rest after reading that the Shi Shu Baby blanket is machine washable. I put it in the washing machine and it came out in perfect condiditon. Although, the trim was a little wrinkled. The color and thickness of this blanket is wonderful. You can definitely tell the quality but just looking at it. Since the Shi Shu Baby blanket is made from bamboo it has many other wonderful qualities. One of the best being that the blanket is breathable. Making it perfect for the winter and the summer months. The Shi Shu Baby blanket also comes ready for gift-giving. Making it a perfect baby shower gift. If only we had received this blanket at our baby shower!
