Microwave Warning...

I know many people that are guilty of popping a frozen dinner in the microwave when there's not much time. But beware! The government issued a new warning this week urging people to thoroughly cook frozen dinners that contain meat, especially chicken meals. The warning came after 32 people in 12 states were sickened with salmonella poisoning. Microwaves heat unevenly and that leaves "cold spots" in the food. The spots could contain dangerous bacteria such as E. Coli. Make sure to read the directions on the box as companies have changed the cooking time. And if you are still unsure check the temperature of the food with a thermometer (a food thermometer of course).

That's good to know. I had no idea, but I'm not surprised. Thanks for coming by my site yesterday. I greatly appreciate it.

I don't know if you're aware you won a contest over at Inside Out for the Walking Wings. I haven't heard from you - so I'm just checking to see if you want it??

Yes this doesn't surprise me. I hate cold spots. Ew. So yeah, just another thing to be concerned about though. =/
