*Honey Bun Cake*

This week C has been working 12 hour shifts, so I try to have dinner ready for him when he gets home. Last night Princess P was being a little fussy so I had to make something easy. I eventually ended up making tacos and rice but apparently after eating 6 tacos and one very large serving of rice C was still hungry. I thought I would make a quick and easy dessert for tonight. Being the end of the month our pantry gets rather bare, so I had to find something that I already had the ingredients for. I went and got my cookbook and in it I found my Granny's recipe for Honey Bun Cake. Perfect, it tastes delicious and most importantly I have all the ingredients! So I thought I would share.

~Honey Bun Cake~

Ingredients:

1 box yellow cake mix
3/4 cup oil
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream. Pour 1/2 of batter in well greased 11 x 14 cake pan. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle 1/2 on batter in pan. Swirl 2 or 3 times with spoon. Pour remaining batter in pan and sprinkle remaining sugar and cinnamon on batter and swirl again. Bake 1 hour at 300 degrees.

Glaze

Ingredients:

1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients and pour on hot cake.
